Kasey Stephan

Kasey has been teaching for twenty years, the last eight in Muskoka. She brings a vast array of dance experience to her students.

She grew up with a strong ballet background, obtaining her Junior Teacher’s certification from the Edmonton School of Ballet and performing in the children cast of the Nutcracker for the Alberta Ballet. This strong ballet foundation blossomed into a strong love of lyrical and contemporary dance.

She performed with a student dance company that was highly involved in Competitive Dance, which solidified her performance skills and readied her for a 15 year + professional dancing career. Kasey performed in musical revues with  Suncruises, Carnival Cruise Lines, and Deerhurst Resort, as well as other industry events. Film and Television dance features, Musical Productions; Anne of Green Gables, Little Shop of Horrors, Greece, and Shrek. And with contemporary dance troupes as choreographer, performer, and sometimes even company manager.

Kasey has had a life long love for dance, her choreography often receiving recognition for being “a Dancer’s dance”. She loves to witness the beauty of her dancers’ movement and looks forward to getting into the studio with them again…
